“Zombie” Octopus Concept

This is a creature I created for a class project at Visual Arts Passage. The idea is that this is actually a parasite that infected an octopus and transformed its body to fit its needs. It carries a bioluminescent poison in the octopus’ hollowed out head that it dispenses from its coral like bone that also serves as protection of its soft head. When it’s prey is infected by it’s poison, they are paralyzed, and that’s when it opens up it’s hideous maw, and devours every last bit…
